In this interview I talk to the filmmaker Oleksiy Radynski about this collaborative research and art project in which, among others, Hito Steyerl and Philipp Groll were also involved. The themes of the exhibition are Russian imperialism and the connections between Germany and Russia in questions of fossil energy since the time of the Tsar. The exhibition addresses colonial violence that was and is being exercised against the indigenous populations there due to the construction of pipelines such as Nord Stream 2 in Siberia.
